Poor little neglected blog

Um.... hi? Anyone still out there? I wouldn't blame anyone who wandered off during this last posting dry-spell.

See, most of the problem is that I still have a job. And the hubby is home a LOT. Like almost every night and all weekend long. I have Mondays and Fridays to myself, usually, but by the time I'm done recovering from working/the weekend, it's almost time for him to come home. Which doesn't leave me with a huge amount of free time for anything really interesting to happen.

One good thing, though. Through the magic of Ravelry, I have managed to co-start a knitting group in my town on Monday evenings. There was already one on Sunday afternoons, but weekends are busy for me. We've been meeting weekly for over a month now. Three of us started it and have been regulars, two more came last week. It was really exciting!

Daisy and I took a beginning dog obedience class through the Parks and Recreation Department, which ended in Feb. I hung the certificate for it on the fridge. Everyone who sees it says we need to just have kids already, geez. (Also said when I brought in dog and husband pictures to hang on my board at work. Fun.)

I ordered a new laptop last night. I'm very worried about this. It'll mostly empty my checking account, since I don't make very much working part time. Too late now though.

I decided that I need a vacation. Certain people at work are really bugging me and I miss my friends from our last house. So I'm taking the last week of March off and leaving Daisy here with the hubby and going to visit my sister for a few days. I'm excited!

(Also, I have many pictures to upload here and share, but I am too lazy and not at all convinced there are people still reading anyways. Maybe later, depending on comments.)
